PCI Slot Problem?

Hi! last saturday (Dec. 5) I bought an FX-6300 Processor (Brandnew) and a Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3 mobo(2nd hand). I got it working but each time I boot up the my PC i have to push down/apply pressure to my GPU(HD 5670) on its pci slot or else its fan wont spin and just wont boot up. GPU works fine once it boots up and the graphics are great even while gaming. Is there any chance that its a pci slot thats somehow broken? can the slot be repaired?

Did you remember to use standoffs when mounting the motherboard? Something doesn't sound right here, mechanically-speaking.

Did you latch the PCIE slot? There's a latch at the rear of the slot that locks the card in place.
