I would like to see PCI-e x1 WiMax cards come soon. Loads of people have extra slots for those, and they would also work in *any* PCI-e slot.

Is there an ATi one? I really could use one as I am trying to plug in a 3rd monitor (my HDTV) and the only option so far was to get a new mobo with two large PCIe slots. This would save me a lot of hassle !

These cards are always so marked up you may as well buy a 16x to 1x adapter, or breakout the back of your 1x slot and stick a 16x card in there.

The only one available in Denmark that I have found so far is an ATi FireMV 2250... It's PCIe x1, 256MB DDR RAM and I have no idea which GPU it is (the ATi website is very vague about it). Not to mention it costs as much as a new X38 mobo. And I got a HD3450 lying around unused.

And just to be sure, I can't use the nVidia one, right? Since I already have a HD4870 and Vista doesn't support two different ones? Or will I be able to run the 8400GS together with my HD4870?
