pci e x 4 question.

I am considering buying the Asrock mb that support both agp and pci-e x4 for E6300. However i got soem question here. Even though i intend to use my old agp card for now to reduce the cost of upgrade, I would want to buy a better pci-e card such as x1900 gt in a few month. What I want to know is how much perforance decrease would i expect from just a pci e x4 mb?

I believe the anandtech review put it at 5-10% performance loss.

I have the Asrock 775Dual-VSTA with a E6400 processer and 7800GT setup right now. Just finished it last night.

It depends on the application and resolution. We typically have found a 5~7% difference in gaming with a 7900GT at 1600x1200 (no AA/AF) or 1280x1024 (2xAA/8xAF). This is an average as some games are even (except for the platform being slightly slower) and some are a little higher. (per Gary Key)
