heading back to university in less than 48 hours and i don't have a TV! so i decided i need a tv tuner.

I would rather not go the USB tuner route

On my dfi lp nf4-d, I've filled both pci slots with a soundcard and a pci parallel port, so I need a PCI express tv tuner

Does anyone have a link or recommendation?

Maybe we use a thread to build a list of *any* cards that support PCI-E. I have hardly seen anything. I know I'm going to have the same problem soon. I'm already using my 3 PCI slots - Wireless-G adapter, sound card, fax-modem (for faxing).

On another note - why do you need a PCI parallel port? Didn't your motherboard have one?

thanks wasserkool! I looked into that card and it supports both PCIe and PCI on the same card.. which is pretty cool.

press release from ATI here

It seems to be going for around $80-$100 with remote

These cards do not support both, they are either/or and they have not released a PCIe version that I'm aware of.

Freeing up a PCI slot, would be easiest.
Use a parallel-to-USB adapter in place of the PCI one. Or else, use the onboard sound in place of the PCI sound card.

i've considered both options.. i'd rather not use the parallel <-> usb adpter because it means i'd spend another $15-$20 that i don't have.. How would the onboard sound (dfi lanparty nf4 - the Karajan audio module) be compared to my turtle beach santa cruz?

edit: or perhaps a USB tv tuner - any opinions about those?
