I dont know what to do, I have tried to take everything off the board and just put it in then the card and same result. The PCI-e in the back wont seat properly and the top PCI-e doesnt even come close.

Ideas?

Did you use the correct mobo standoffs? Is the tang on the bottom of the slot plates on the cards going down into the slots that should be there for them? When you were installing the mobo, did you install a couple of add-on cards to be sure the mobo was lined up properly before fully tightening the mobo mounting screws?

I used the correct motherboard standoffs, 9 of them for the board.

The tangs go down into their slots, appear to anyways. I have bad lighting.

I but in the X-Fi card and 2 7900 GTX and the bottom card fit fine, then the bottom GTX was up a little and the otp was up a lot.

The motherboard was lined up properly. I got it to go in snugly. The I/O bezel was pushing a little out on it, but I just pushed in barely (metal tabs on the I/O bezel, wasnt sure to break them or bend them, so I bent them).

I emailed CM about it requesting a new motherboard tray with pictures of what the rig looked like. If they dont reply or a new piece doesnt fix my problem I am going to sell it on ebay and will need a new case.

Suggestions?

I am looking for a HUGE case that holds a lot of stuff.

Should not have to bend or remove any of those little feelers on the I/O shield. Those should just spring load up against the metal that's surrounding the I/O ports to help prevent RFI leakage. That's a big clue of an alignment problem right there. I'd take it all apart, use a square to check that the case frame is true and square in all directions, then make sure of the way to mount the mobo tray to the case. Sounds like something is quite off there.

If you go to the coolermaster forums, this is a common problem. You can theoreticaly order a new PCI bracket from them for free if you mail them pics of your cards not seating properly. Don't expect the replacement to come within the first few months of sending that, though. This is te reason I chose t forget the 830 I'd planned on, and g with a Lian-Li instead.

Oh and you do need to remove those thumb screws from the place you're going to mount a card as well as the cover plate that apparently are already in place at each card position. Once the card is seated in place, put the thumb screw back in to lock the card in place. You can do all this stuff with the mobo tray completely out of the case to make it easier to be sure everything is in place. Also the screws CoolerMaster supplies for mounthing the mobo, HDs etc. are usually way too long. They are normal case screws. So that could be contributing to your problem. It seems sometimes that CM rolls along without a brain, routinely slipping up on details like that. It's as if no one there actually builds their own computers so they might accidentally get a clue...
. Places like http://www.cyberguys.com can sell baggies of the proper length screws for more critical applications.

Depending on your skill level and experience, you might want to read MechBgon's New Builder's Guide at http://www.mechbgon.com

I looked at the standoffs and they appear to be fine. I will have to make some time and look into this a lot more than I had hoped.

$250.00 case and a problem lke this is ruining the whole experience of building it.

heh, honestly i dont think it looks that bad, maybe the angle shot u did was kinda off.

Anyhow, the only cases i can see that would come close to the stacker830 is either the Silverstone TJ07. <--- beautiful case. Or the Tai Chi. The armor isnt that bad either, but its built simular to the stacker so i figured you didnt want to go that route. If you plan to watercool, the Tai Chi is probably the best since u can mount a radiator on the side panel that slides out via hydrolics. If your a moder, which i dont think you are, the TJ07 has endless modding capibilities, not to mention it kinda looks like a Mac G5. :p

Lian Li makes nice cases too and build quality is top notch, but for a 250 dollar price range, id get the Tai Chi, and 300 dollar range the TJ07

Hey heres what i had to say in a similiar post concerning the Stacker PCI-E issues..
Had a pc built for a cousin of mine using Stacker 830/Asus Premium...same problem arose with his Leadtek 7600gt not sitting flush into the board. What we found was that u need to bend in the rear of the case in toward the motherboard slightly and the card will fit as it should, dead into the slot...problem solved.
I must say was very dissapionted when first encountering this problem, being such an expensive case and all. Though the card now sits very neat and there has been no issue at all since then ....... its a very good case otherwise and I highly recommend it.
