Just got though reading an article on the tweak page of some local guru and he said that when updating with an Evergreen processor/system make sure you enable Bus mastering in the PCI slot you are putting it into? How do you do this? I know that most motherboards built today have all their PCI slots as Bus mastering but I thought the older systems were either Bus mastering slots or not and you could not change them, it was not an option.

Same here. I've heard of enableing it in BIOS, but on every mb I've seen the slots were or were not. Some mbs had 2 or 3 slots that supported Bus Mastering others had none. Starting with the PII and Super7 mbs I think all slots support bus mastering.

Older MoBo's with ISA slots had Bus Mastering enabled/disabled. You also had to be careful with the placement of the PCI cards - closest to the MoBo, but farthest away from the ISA. You need to read the documentation for the MoBo.
