i just put together my "budget" PC and i have a problem.

at about the 8th boot up i get new hardware found and it says PCI Bridge Device ?

WINTEC AMPX 512MB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 533 (PC2 4200) Desktop Memory
C51GM-M (V1.0) Socket AM2 NVIDIA GeForce 6100 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Western Digital Caviar SE WD800JD 80GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive -
AMD Sempron 64 2800+ Manila 1.6GHz Socket AM2 Processor Model
NEC 3550 CD

what do i need to do ?

this may have popped up after i installed my dial-up modem but i installed the drivers for it

if this is in the wrong section can someone please tell me ? thanks

Figure out where it is and what it is. Device Manager, open that bridge's properties sheet. Now look at its location, and in the "details" tab, get its hardware ID. Post that here and we'll help you decode.

i have no idea what i did but so far it is "fixed"

i have been downloading 60 window updates over dial-up. and updating Norton.

so far so good.

thanks
