Hello,

I just purchsed an ATI All-In-Wonder 128 pro (PCI) to add to my system as a second video card. My first card (AGP) is a Hercules Geforce II MX. When both cards are installed and my BIOS reconfigured to set the AGP card to the primary display adapter, my system will not boot past the "Verifying DMI Pool Data ..." startup message. As soon as I remove the ATI card my everything works fine.

My system motherboard is an Abit KT7-Raid with the lastest BIOS update(WW I think, definately dated 12/15/00).

Has anyone successfully implemented this configuration?

thanks,

zboss

which PCI slot is the AIW plugged in?

And you just solve a problem for me... getting TV on the secondary monitor... has anyone done that w/ the AIW as the secondary card??

Ok,

I got my system to boot by moving the ATI card to slot 3 and removing all the other cards besides the AGP card, but now my system locks up on a regular basis [even completes booting up]. When my system does work and I attempt to display the video on a second monitor, I get an error message "Cannot start device, the device cannot be found or is in use by another process".

Any ideas here?

try only leaving the two video cards in there.

also, does just having the PCI in there work? maybe the two cards just don't like each other. other than that, not too sure what else you could try.

Looking to do something similar. I'm waiting for the new ATI A-I-W Radeon 32MB PCI video card that ATI told me should be out by the end of the month. Another dealer lists it available on 01 February 2001, about 3 weeks away. Want to use this with either the Leadtek Winfast GeForce2 MX 2 DH Pro or the eVGA e-GeForce2 MX TwinView Pro (hopfully with 5.5ns RAM like the Gainward, and not the 6ns like the Leadtek). I have the Gainward CardEXpert GeForce2 MX "Golden Sample", but want a card with S-VHS output and not RCA video output. Tried getting eVGA to pricematch MixPC.com (they seriously suck) price of $169, but got some cryptic message from them saying they can't pricematch because of "internal competition"? eVGA's price is $189 and eVGA is not far from me in Irvine, CA, so can't figure out why their site offers to PriceMatch, it's only $20. Comeon guys, this is rediculous, your are here in the US and not in Taiwan where there may be a language barrier problem, what the hell is "internal competition" have to do with pricematching???

I read somewhere that the AIW TV features won't work when it's the secondary video card.
