PCI 1/5th divisor on Asus P4S333 at what FSB?

Very good question indeed! I've been trying to get an answer to that for the past 2 weeks. I'm also wondering how the CPU/FSB ratio settings work. Don't be afraid to mail me if you find out. 🙂

The manaul does not show either a 1/5th PCI divisor and is not specific about the ratio options at various FSB settings, above 133 and above 150. Only other users out there will know this..how about it?

OK, just received my Asus P4S333 with BIOS 1.003.

At FSB of 150, PCI is 38. So there is no 1/5 PCI divisor at that level.

Also, at FSB of 150 the memory ratio selections are "Auto" or "1:1" or "4:3". "Auto" should mean that the memory is timed according to the SPD settings on the mem stick (maybe). "1:1" should set the memory to 150 and "4:3" sets it to 112.

Once I get the OS installed, I will run bench marks to see exactly what I have for options. Northwood 1.6a at 1.625v, FSB 150, mem at default voltage, Mushkin Enhanced PC2100.

Be sure to download BIOS revision 1.004c or newer to enable a 4:5 memory ratio above 133MHz.

And no, there is definitely no 1/5 PCI divider. Yet.

Exp,
Thanks for the BIOS upgrade tip...by the way, what exactly does the "auto" setting in the memory ratio set the memory bus speed and memory profile to?
Thanks,
