Since the beta is capped at 60fps, I would expect any newer high end computer to peg at 60 fps with 1080 or 2560 resolution. To me the 4k numbers are the only ones where you "might" see how the game stresses the gpu.

It has already been repeatedly confirmed that the 60 fps cap only pertains to the Beta. The final game will also allow 90, 120 and 144Hz.

Surprising that a 970 can beat a 390 in 1440p.

"Beating" by 3%. And this is a 1316 Mhz 970. Most after marked cards are clocked lower.

But the overall performance is pretty good. But a 60fps cap in a shooter likes this makes very little sense. For those who hoped for a proper arena shooter is the gameplay is pretty disappointing anyway.

Good to hear, thanks. But I don't see why it is capped in the beta

But it is an highly oced 970 and 980 card. If the tests by gamegpu were done with less potent card there could easily be 10% difference for those 970/980 cards.

I wouldn't consider that high OC ,as the cards can easy do 1450-1500/7800-8000 on memory.
The factory OC is not that much above ref ,I think around 5%.

If fact if they are in game boost clocks thats on low end.
You can OC about 15% above the MSI 970 performance level, approx.
