Hold your horses there Tonto... Wait for the official benches for this puppy before declaring this. It may be that FarCry2, like FarCry1, plays better on ATI normally. We would need to see if 10.1 can be disabled also, to see what difference there would be.

1.2 Realise that Fudzilla stated that Ati was going to release a HotFix
1.3 Use Cat. 8.10, the HotFix and benchmark again

Far Cry 2 will definitely use multi-core and CPU-based Havok physics

Seen it on xbox 360 ... Must say it looks pretty impressive. In fact I'd go as far as to say that it's the best looking xbox 360 game I've seen so far. Haven't seen much yet though, going to give it a closer look tomorrow ...

The colours are really off on crysis, its all to bright and colourful it makes it look unrealistic
To me crysis doesnt look that great at all, your probably right that the graphics dont look as detailed but at least they didnt go over the top with contrast and shaders. As a comparison look how realistic GRID looks, that contrast is not too much and the detail is kept consistant and i get close to 70fps instead of 15-30

from those benchmarks it seems like my system will run Far Cry 2 better than it runs Crysis. i guess ill be buying far Cry 2 instead of trying to download it to see if its worth a crap.

Nothing wrong with these scenes. It looks exactly the way it should look at that solar altitude at that "time of day". You need to get out more and watch the real world for reference.

FC2 doesnt hold a candle to crysis/warhead, even without modfied configs. Its just too much tailored to consoles.

i cant really get a good look at what a real rainforest looks like as i live in a temperate region where i see more greys dark greens and blacks more than anything else, but until i do it will still look horribly distorted to me much like the origional far cry
