PC60 side panel on a PC7?

I'm looking at buying a Lian-Li tower but I don't want to spend too much on it. I'm just a poor college kid right now but I want a quality case and I expect to get some more money in the future. The PC7 seems to be essentially an older version of the PC60 but I'm curious if the window side panel that you can buy for the PC60 would fit on the PC7. Does anybody know?

edit: I forgot to mention that the PC7 and the PC60 have the exact same dimensions and the screws are in the same spots.

no, PC7 is not an older version, it is a variation. It's got no pullout tray, less USB ports in the front, a few other things. I do not know about newer PC60s, but all of the PC7s I have seen have a tab in the back for a lock on the left side of the case in the case. My PC60s do not have this, and so my case side panel did not fit on my roommates PC7 because it did not have the slit, however his fit on my fine.

So basically if the side panel has the slit for the locking tab, then it will work, if not, SOL

Interesting that you would say that's the problem. I'm looking at the picture from Newegg right now and it shows the slit for the lock on both the PC60 and the PC65. I guess since his fit on yours, that probably answers my question. Thanks for your help.

DongTran, do you have the old PC60 or the newer PC60USB ..... I think that is the difference you are referring to.

Besides, if you want the PC60 with a window.... just get the PC65. The PC7 is missing: 1) pullout motherboard tray 2) ability to control the 2 front fan's speeds 3) The extra USBs in front. 4) The LED and power switch cables aren't in the sleeve. Depends how important these are for you .... I personally just picked up the PC60 this morning and didn't get the window (got it for $118 shipped). I would have gone with the PC65 if i wanted the windows, as the Motherboard pullout tray is a VERY NICE feature to have on a case.

Hope this helps....

Allstarshop.com has them for $119.00 with free shipping. They have an awesome reseller rating, and i've already recieved 2 emails, and a shipping notice from them (all in the same day).

It's a beautiful case .... good luck :)

Oh well. I just bought a different case. I decided that I didn't have that much to spend so I just went ahead and got a Chieftec. Eventually when I get more money, I'll buy a Lian-Li.
