ok...Im upgrading now due to my ability to sell my current system (kt133a, 1 gig tbird and 256 pc133 ram). I am now looking at mainly 2 boards....the asus a7v333 and the asus A7N266-C (the latter for is for the price). I have 2 sticks of 256 pc3000 OCZ DDR.....and I am wondering if anyone has used this with either board (as i heard there were possible compatibility issues).
Also while im at it....which board would you recommend? I found that I probably wont be in need of the USB 2.0 or the firewire by the time I upgrade next (i do so about every 8 months or so)....so those features arent too important in the a7v333. Speed would be a factor for me. It doesnt have to be the fastest....but will the difference be phenomenal? Not sure......knowing that the nforce can be oc'ed quite high as the pci clock stays fixed at 33mhz no matter what. Price would be $150 for the a7v333 and $115 for the a7n266-c. Any help would be great...thanks

the A7V133 has loads of nice extras with it.....
6 USB ports...which support USB 2.0..
Fire wire.......however, initial review have noted the DDR 333 doesn't make too much of a differecece...so may its not worth shelling out soo much for it.....mainly due to the fact that the FSB doesn't have that sort of bandwidth.....its 266/200 FSB is already as wide as the memory bus with 266 DDR..therefore, the review i have read show like 1% difference between DDR 333 and DDR 266

ok..cool...thanks for the input. I guess that just brings me back to my original statement.

are there any compatibility problems between the a7n266-c or a7v333 and the pc3000 OCZ ram? Thanks
