"the Athlon that has undergone its third revision. Its Front Side Bus has been upgraded to 266 MHz so it can finally take advantage of the PC2100 DDR SDRAM memory for which it was redesigned."

Is the FSB 266MHz, or is it 133MHz DDR? What is PC2100 SDRAM? (2100MHz??)

it's 133mhz DDR

the PC2100 is the ram which runs on the 133DDR bus i believe. the 2100 is the amount of bandwidth offeret, 2.1Gb/sec

If u want speed, buy DDR ram, if not just use pc133. The newer board should have both ddr and sdram slot. DDR is 184 pin, SDRAM is 168. doesn't fit..

only 1 newer board i've has both sdram and ddr. most just have ddr only. AMD760 which is the only one out doens't support sdram at all.

gigabyte should have them out soon. i think the word is by xmas they will be everywhere. i don't know if thats for OEM or everyone

/me waits despritly for widly avalible DDR boards aswell...

gotta lovee the DDR ram startingout at an affordable price (i mean 2 the masses)

DDR doubles the speed of operations so a 133mhz fsb will double the speed of operations to 266mhz.

Something like that I think.

<< Initial pricing for Hyundai's 128-Mb DDR is $21 in quantities of 1,000. DDR SDRAM is expected to achieve price parity with PC100 SDRAM in the second half of 2000 >>

Anyone care for a group buy? j/k
