pc2100 and FSB:RAM Ratio

okay, i'm mathematically challenged, what would be the ratio going from what it set at now which is a 100 FSB to a 200 FSB for PC2100 Ram?

okay i've got my an35n ultra 400 and I have an AMD 2600+ FSB is set at 100 and memory timings are 5 2 2 2 I'm guessing something isn't correct in the bios settings because when it loads it only loads my processor as a 1.25 ghz processor, anybody know what the FSB should be set at for a 2600+ the ram i have is pc2100 a 1 gig stick

Okay found a post on another site saying that the AN35N doesn't properly detect the voltage for the 2600+ because it's a mobile processor and that you have to set the voltage manually to 1.45. I've done that, and adjusted the FSB (133 x 15)accordingly and it's now detecting my 2600 as a 2400 does anybody know all the settings i need exactly to get it to 2600 so i can get the actual speed out of my processor it was designed for. As a side note, what would i need to set the RAM ratio at for PC2100 ram?

Which 2600+ do you have? There were several with different FSB's.
There were 3 different desktop ones alone:

Athlon XP 2600+ with 256KB L2 Cache and 266MHz FSB
CPU Speed: 2133MHz (2.133GHz)
CPU Frequency Multiplier: 16.0x
CPU External Frequency (MHz): 133

Athlon XP 2600+ with 256KB L2 Cache and 333MHz FSB
CPU Speed: 2083MHz (2.083GHz)
CPU Frequency Multiplier: 12.5x
CPU External Frequency (MHz): 166

Athlon XP 2600+ with 512KB L2 Cache and 333MHz FSB
CPU Speed: 1917MHz (1.917GHz)
CPU Frequency Multiplier: 11.5x
CPU External Frequency (MHz): 166

I am going to guess that you actually have the middle one, since your board defaulted to a 12.5X multiplier initially to give you a 1.25Ghz chip. In that case, you'd need to set a 166FSB(333) and a 12.5X multiplier. I believe a 5:4 fsb/mem ratio would be correct for a 166(333) fsb and 133(266) ram.

Yeah, set your FSB to 166mhz, and use a 5:4 ratio for the ram at that speed. If you run at 200mhz FSB, use a 3:2 ratio for the ram. Running at 166mhz FSB, you may be able to get the ram to run at pc2700 speeds if you relax the timings a bit.

Well, tinkered with it some more and here is what i have now

fsb set at 166
multiplier set at 13 (was suggested 12.5 for 2600, but that isn't an option in my bios settings)
Voltage set at Auto
Everything else at auto
my ram is running at 266
Readouts from MBM 5
Core 0 1.65 V
Core 1 1.52 V
CPU 2172 MHZ
With the side off Case is 30 degrees
Processor is 38 degrees

FSB is set at 100 and memory timings are 5 2 2 2 I'm guessing something isn't correct in the bios settings because when it loads it only loads my processor as a 1.25 ghz processor

100X12.5=1250. You must have 12.5X in there somewhere. 😀

Actually, you can set the multiplier and the ram up differently if you want to overclock. You certainly aren't limited to the stock speed on your CPU or your ram.
