I need to get some new RAM, but I'm not sure if I should go with Cas 2 or Cas 3. It seems like the Cas 2 is always priced a lot higher than the Cas 3 - is it worth it? Is the performance worth the extra pricing?

And, is it worth it to spend more to get a brand name like Mushkin or Micron?

Which kinds overclock the best?

thanks

Get the CAS2, the price difference isn't that bad.

As for brand name vs. generic, if all you want to do is 133 MHz don't worry about it. If you want to crank the FSB, get brand name.

The brand names *usually* have a better chance of overclocking, but there are people that have overclocked generics just fine.

The way prices are, the brand names are only a few bucks more anyway.

CAS2 is nice, but there is not a *huge* difference. Probably couldn't tell in an application, only in a benchmark that tests ram speed.

Cas2 is nice but not necessary. If you wan to save money then Cas3 will be allright, the price difference really isnt that big though.
