You could even shoot for PC133 in the BIOS if your RAM can handle it.

Actually, the advantage of PC133 over PC100 with KT133 is very minimal, almost none.
Synthetic benchmark like SySoft might report higher memory bandwidth around 50-75MB/sec than PC100, but in reality, this difference doesn't make a noticable increase in performance at all.
In games like Quake3, the difference is even almost NIL..if not to say PC133 is only about 0.5-1 fps faster.

Mine using PC66@109 CAS2 , and compared to PC133 CAS2.....0.5-0.8 fps different (92.4 vs 93.1). This test is using Duron 700@1036 with Asus 7100 Geforce MX at 220/210.

Why spend another 150$ for just such a miniscule performance improvement ???

I should've clarified. I didn't mean for him to buy PC133, but to rather adjust it to "PC133" in the BIOS, and see if it flys. My generic PC100 stick runs up to PC140. Free speed.

Thanks Serville. That is great info to have. I guess I will just stick with my old memory and buy a new video card later instead.

Geekish, I will see if it works. I too have cheap generic memory, but maybe it will work.

BTW, I love this forum.
