Yesterday all of the sudden my pc just turned off and wont power up. When the power cable is plugged into the PC the motherboard LED turns on but nothing else will turn on. Also, when the power cable is plugged in, the casing around the battery supply gets warm. I am thinkinig that its a blown power supply. Any ideas?

That or your motherboard.
To test the power supply take a look at the pin-out's on this page:
http://www.helpwithpcs.com/courses/power-supply-basics-inc-pinouts.htm

and short pin 14 to a ground.
If your power supply fan starts spinning it is a good sign for the supply being OK. To further test go ahead and plug in a CD drive with the PS and short pin 14 to ground.

Can you operate the CD-ROM drive (ie open can close drive tray)? If so odds are good your PS is fine and your motherboard is dead.
