Hello,
I built a PC last year which has been running fine for 1.5 years. A few nights ago, I did my periodical dust cleaning of the PC, taking the filter off of the case, cleaning it, blowing off some light dust inside case with a air canister, that sort of thing. No components or cables were disconnected during this process from the motherboard, aside from the cables from the back of the machine so I can carry the PC into the garage to do the air cleaning.
After this process, my PC won't boot now. I see nothing on the monitor, nor the typical motherboard ad, nor the bios. The CPU fan is running, and so are the video card fans. The optical drive tray opens and closes, so I do feel the PSU is working ok. Maybe? On the case, the reset button is blinking red.
In the course of using this PC for the last 1.5 years, there was one occasion where the machine didn't boot. But restarting the machine a couple of times fixed the problem.
My spec is:
2 x G.SKILL Value Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333
Crucial M4 CT128M4SSD2CCA 2.5" 128GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit - OEM
COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1 "Heatpipe Direct Contact"
LIAN LI PC-9F Black Aluminum ATX
ASRock P67 EXTREME4 GEN3 LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
2 x XFX Double D HD-687A-ZDFC Radeon HD 6870 1GB 2
XFX CrossFire Bridge Model MA-AP01-CF1K
Intel Core i7-2600K Sandy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core
Antec TPQ-850 850W Continuous Power ATX12V
I need some advice on how to start trouble shooting.
Thanks!
