Here's my weird problem ....

Cold Boot works fine the first time, restart works fine, but when I do a complete shut down the PC won't reboot. It seems to power up, but no motherboard beep and no video - HD and PC light just flash. I have to unplug the power cord, wait for a minute or so, plug it back in and then ... voala! it boots normal. There are no other weird lockups or problems with the system. Runs fast and cool.

I had a similar problem with an old BE6-II and 4GB WD, but I never had time to investigate.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I had this problem with several new PC's we had, and I had to "reset" the power switch. You pull the power cord out of the PC, wait ~15 seconds, and then, while holding the power switch in, put the power cord back in, and not releasing the on/off button until the machine powered on and off - ~5 seconds. This worked on IBM 300 GL's, and an IBM tech told me how to do it - don't know if it works on other systems.

Thanks for the "reset" tip, unfortunately I'm still having the problem rebooting after doing a complete shut down.

Any other ideas?
