Stupid list and comparison. Also seemed to be slanted towards PC. Get console folks to get one going, then compare the positives of both.

Did that list include Gamefly for consoles?

A lot of affiliate marketers use these infographs to get traffic. Look at the list of sources. They list their own site as a source lol. It's a computer for sale.

edit: you're a pc gamer who's passing around spam. gg hf

I'd say they conveniently left out one of the single biggest advantages to consoles: The hardware is fixed. I buy a game at launch and a new game 6-7 years later, I can play them both on the same system.

I buy a PC now, and want to try playing some new game 6-7 years from now... Yeah.

Not to mention... Who pays $30 for an HDMI cable?! Seriously. I want names, because I have a few bridges they might be interested in.

People obviously do, Monster isn't out of business yet.

The bias was so obvious I just quit reading about 1/4 of the way through.

/Yawn.

this again? just adding fancy / bright graphics does not change the story, espically when most "points" change over time (ie: costs).

Anyone who games on a halfway decent PC already knows which choice is better, this comparison is obviously geared towards getting console gamers to switch, and why shouldn't they ? Unless they are under 12 or something.

 I can still play old games on my new PC. You are far more limited when trying to play old games on a new console.

I can still play some 20 year old games on my PC. You can't do that on any console.

Well, not without paying for them all over again, at least (Wii VirtualConsole)

Yes and no. Having never played the original Fallout, I was interested to see that GameFly had it as an option that is free for members like myself. I was all set to give it a spin when I see the little note: "Display issues on Windows 7".

So I'd either have to try and find a computer running older versions of Windows or set up a VM and that's a whole separate hassle. Same goes for all the old games that try and directly access the hardware, which won't run, at all, on a protected mode OS like XP, Vista, 7, or 8. It can be done, but let's be honest, it may be child's play for most of us here, but there are a great many people who would never have a prayer.

On a side note, this is something I wish Valve would do with Steam. Either make it a requirement of the game being offered that the developer update the game to work on the current supported versions of Windows (so XP-8), even if that means just wrapping it in some kind of a VM like DOSBox, or at least require game developers to provide Valve with a list of supported platforms so that the Steam client could then implement some very basic checks to ensure compatibility. So if I wanted to buy the Fallout collection of games, it would check and see that I'm running Windows 7 and pop up with a dialog box saying there are known issues with this game and OS combo, check the forum section for details, do I still want to buy it.

Back on the topic however, all of this is just me humoring you with your giant straw man, because I very specifically said NEW games, and said absolutely nothing at all about OLD games. o_O Even more than that, I was humoring the OP with what I can only hope was intended to be a trolling post.
