Hey all,

New user to the forum, I'm hoping you can help me out.

I have built up a new PC and everything runs perfectly. I can watch video's, run programs, have no issues at all. Except when I run Warhammer Online and Age of Conan.

When I run the game, the intro video is great, the in game videos are great, no issues on log in, no issue on character select. Everything here runs fantastic.

When I get ingame issues start to happen, my screen will blink when characters run by, characters will get drawn out like you are looking at your reflection in a spoon, random parts of the bodies will just drag away into long spikes, it happens with tree's and buildings as well. I can't replicate the issue anywhere else though.

Here are my PC specs, I'm hoping you can help these odd video issues.

Window's Vista Home Premium 64 Bit with SP1
Core 2 Duo Wolfdale 3.0Ghz
4 GB Corsair 6400 ram
ASUS P5Q MB
EVGA Nvidia GeForce 8800GT Vid Card
Western Digi Cavier SE16 640GB HD
Basic Sony DVD Burner
Antec Case with 500W EarthWatts PSU

I can't figure it out, I've tried removing my vid card and reinstalling drivers, updating to the newest drivers. It is almost like the card is artifacting. I am going to reinstall the games (though I do not think that'll help) and I am going to try drivers from Xtreme-G as I've heard some of the Nvidia drivers just do not work well in some games.

Any other ideas / comments?

Looking for some options if you can help me out.

Thanks!

I would recommend checking out the forums on for Warhammer. Sounds directly related to the game. Im assuming that you have never seen this behavior in any other games.

It actually happens in just about every game that I have now tried it on. Age of Connan included.

Ah. How about reinstalling DirectX (or updating), or trying an older version of the drivers. If the same things happen you may just have a bad card. Ideally you would install this card into another machine and see what happens.

Yeah I've installed DX 9.0L and reinstalled 10, happens on both. Also reloaded 3 different set of drivers, same issue on each. At this point I'm thinking bad card. I do not have another PC that has PCI Express to try it on here. I think I'll just end up RMA'ing the card. Thanks for your help though!
