PC Stutters While Accessing DVD Drive

Everytime I watch a movie or copy files from a CD, I notice my PC stutters (Mouse even begins moving in a jerky motion). Anyone know what is going on? I checked event viewer and don't see any odd things going on with errors with the cd drives

I can't watch dvds on my pc now because they look slide show like.
 
Some of the reasons may be the drive is in PIO mode, something is hogging up all the virtual memory. Try checking to see if the VM is being managed by the system or if you set it to some crazy number. I would let the system manage it as it knows what it is doing.
 
You guys are great! I changed my swap file to system managed and the DVDs play fine now.
