BestBuy.com has Star Wars: Knights of the Old Replublic (preorder) for the PC for $39.99 with free shipping. Other retailers including Amazon are selling this game for $49.99, so save $10 with this deal! This game releases this Tuesday, November 18th.

Well, it's basically a lock for Xbox "Game of the Year" and all indications are that the PC version will be even better.
 
Hmm I'm looking for a new game but I havn't bit yet... maybe this will be it. Is this better than Jedi academy? I hope sooo...
 
On a side note I saw this game on clearance at Costco (video game format, was either PS2 or Xbox) for 31.00.

This was at Santa Maria, CA store so YMMV.
 
I bought a gamers gift card to buy Jedi Academy and the $5 off that comes with the gamer gift card could only be used to buy a console game and not a PC game in the sales system at the BB I went to. The cashier applied it manually as a customer service.

Has anyone else experienced this?
 
I HATE bestbuy. Just like when neverwinter nights released, they didnt have it. They didnt have this in stock either. I hate bestbuy so teriibly much

I've never had a problem using the gamer's card coupon...i bought UT2k3 for $15 that way this weekend. The coupon does say any game over $19.99. Although i have noticed that they always have to do some type of menu navigation to get it to take (they've never just scanned it with me...its always, scan, blink, type in code, blink, tap a bunch of keys, sigh, grunt, and then get it to take.)

And if they ever give you a problem, just buy the game card and leave the store. come back in and try a different cashier.

I hate bestbuy too, but it's probably not their fault they didn't have it today. Today was the ship date, it likely won't start popping up until tomorrow. It seems most all PC game 'release' dates are actually ship dates, so bitch at the publishers.

The sales paper said it won't be out until Nov 20th. Don't get mad at the store...they printed it, you just didn't read it.

It also said the date could change if you see the footnote in the ad. I think it will be in some Best Buy's tomorrow. All 3 EBs have it in my town now but I am waiting for the great price of BB...can't beat $15 cheaper than everywhere else!
 
This is a very good game, better than any other Star Wars game. The story is very interactive.

I will warn you, if you expect this to be an FPS like Jedi Knight 2, you will be pleasantly surprised. It it is a real-time, turn-based combat game. You command the character in 3rd person an interact with your environment. Combat is in real-time, but you can only fight one person at a time.

I haven't gotten to the light-saber parts yet. But, basically you build your character's stats and that determines the different aspects of the game you're best at. From what I hear, you can get double-sided lightsabers.

The graphics is good, enough to bring even the XBOX to its knees at some points. Overall, it's one of the better XBOX games out there (a rare thing).
