I recently went into a starbucks and the place was packed (it was a brand new starbucks with a very large seating area and there wasn't a free seat in the place), while I was waiting for my drink I started to look around at each person's computers... they all had books and looked as though they where 'studying....' but not one of them had a PC... EVERY single person had a mac, and im talking there was nearly 30 people there.... almost made me think I was in a mac store....

I myself, currently utilize a PC (Acer to be specific, running windows 7)

so how about you guys?

I use both OS X and Windows, but the prefer the former. Rarely bring around my notebook anymore, Tablets are the way to go. 😉

Use the right tool for the job. I use both, Windows for the Desktop / Games, OS X for the Notebook / Casual Browsing.

I don't like that terminology. They're all PCs, but differ in O/S. To play along, I use various versions of GNU/Linux, with Debian being my primary.

macs are PC's... :hmm:

I use both. I have a windows desktop that's my primary computer and work is all Windows or Linux, but I also have a macbook air that I use for traveling.

I understand that they're both PC's but I wasn't sure how to differentiate between the two.... a computer is a computer but there is a big difference between using a OS X only product and being used to Windows....

I myself would be lost on a Mac trying to be productive or do anything aside from browsing the web...

I haven't used a mac since ~1990 and then only for a couple specific programs. I didn't care for the OS as it existed then. I haven't bothered since as my employers over the years have all specified Win of Unix machines on the job. Nothing against macs, just no compelling reason to revisit them.

Both.

OSX For general browsing and media (only because of the Retina Screen)
Windows for work (Windows 7 on work laptop, Windows 8 on the Macbook)

A "both" option on the poll would be good.

Windows desktop at home, and a Mac laptop for on the road (half my life) or in the living room. It's a good combo, and Dropbox is a lifesaver keeping my active stuff in sync.

Windows 7 for gaming/entertainment/Microsoft Office. Linux Mint for programming.

If Microsoft ported office and their DRM to work on Linux, I'd use Linux almost exclusively.

all win PCs here

honest question since I've never owned a mac or used mac OS: Is it possible to share files and folders between a mac pc and a windows pc?
