This is pretty much " stupid" question for some of you educated members---lol
I have couple of extra Pc LCD monitors and I want to convert them to tv monitors.
I have a DTV.
What do I have to do / buy to convert them ?
What I will need to change the channels - need a remote correct ?
Anyway any answers will be great and very much appriviated !!!

What kind of inputs does the LCD monitors have?

My dad actually did exactly what you described. He had a spare Dell Ultrasharp(?) that had composite input. Bought one of those digital-to-analog converter box and hooked it up to the LCD. Changing channels is done with the converter box (which came with a remote too).

All you need is a TV tuner box (you probably already have some since you've got digital TV) with at least one output that matches an input on the monitor. Remember that you can convert HDMI to DVI with an adapter. You'd change channels with the remote that came with the box. Of course, you will need some separate speakers if your monitor doesn't have any.

Maybe you can use a game controller as a tuner? Then output with HDMI --> Converter.

Maybe one of those devices like HD converter box for older TV's.

Yes, a tuner like that is what I was talking about. The OP may have to get a box from his provider to view the encrypted channels though (i.e nearly all of them).

Yes I think the only option is to buy this from the DTV
unless some of you have one for cheap
