Sorry for this necroposting, but I am experiencing the same issue.

First of all my configuration:
- Asrock Fatal1ty z68 Professional Gen 3
- I7 2600k (@ default)
- 4x4 GB g.skill F3-14900CLQ-16GBXL (at the times when I built my config, g.skill mentioned my mobo in the list of compatible hardware, and Asrock did the same with the RAMs);
- SSD crucial mx 500gb;
- 2x HDD WD (different size).

Two weeks ago my pc froze.
The image was stuck on my monitor, and I was unable to even move the mouse. I was not playing, just using firefox.
I shut down my PC by pressing the power button for 5 seconds.
When I tried to start it again, 4 beeps, black monitor, spinning fans.
The PC started go On/Off by itself every 5-10 seconds, and everytime the same 4 beeps.
I pressed the power button and it went Off for good.
I switched off the PSU, waited some seconds, and turned everything On again.
The PC booted normally.

Yesterday I had the very same issue (again, I was just using the browser), but this time, even if I tried the same trick with the PSU, the issue remained.

I read online, and somewhere, someone had wrote it was the RAMs. So I pulled out the RAMs on A2 & B2 (I was unable to remove the RAM in A1 because it was under the Silver Arrow).

The PC booted normally.

So I had to check which one of the two RAMs I pulled out was the faulted one.
I removed another one (the one in B1 so that I used a slot I was sure it was working), and made some trials.
With one RAM I had the same issue, with the other I had no beeps at all, but no image on monitor either.

Today I brought the two RAMs to one of my friends, who repairs smartphones and PCs, he tested them and said they are ok.

And I still cannot understand what is happening.

I remember the cmos battery was replaced sometime ago, but tomorrow I will check the expiration date on it, just to make sure.

Sorry for the lenght.
Any help will be appreciated...a lot!

What error code does the Dr. Debug display show?
Have you looked that up in your manual?

Thank for your interest.

I re-inserted all the RAM and the PC is now working.

When I opened the case to try the various RAM setup i noticed some codes, but I was unaware of Dr. Debug feature, so I didn't annotate those codes :-(

I remember there was a 4F or maybe it was F4, I am sure it was one of the two (I asked myself what it could mean). It was the last one to appear after some other codes I don't remember at all.

If the problem presents itself again, I will let you know those codes.
