Rebuilding a new computer and also thinking about getting a nice pc headset, any recommendation?

I looked into this model a little bit. Plenty of reviews, professional and individual, found on the Net. Through my searching the PC350 get pretty solid reviews.You can even see video reviews on Youtube if you want to see something visual as opposed to or in addition to print. Although I have never used the PC350 it seems the reviews support them as being quite good. The cheapest I saw was $125 on Amazon. From the various pricing I saw in my brief look the PC350 goes for $125 - $180. Are there better for the same price? I don't know. Something like this can be a personal thing as to wether you like them or not. Videophile purists would probably scoff at them and tell you to get better but that is how they tend to be in my experience.
 
I've been thinking about taking apart my logitech microphone and making some kind of hook out of a wire clothes hanger to attach it to my A700s Whenever I want a mic. I just don't know if it's possible.
