Not a bad vid OP. The intro was pretty long, but easy enough to fast forward through. I guess that's a little too hard for some to do :disgust:

You did not just put Halo 2 in that video.

Here's the thing about PC gaming. It's FAR superior to console gaming, but it comes at a price, literally. If you want to really one up the consoles, you need to dump a lot of cash into a system. It's cheaper to just get the newest system every few years (since you'll be upgrading every few years as well for the best experience). Not only that, PCs are much more prone to crashing and not working well with every single game available. For most, the PC is a poor gaming system.

Only a few of those games (if even that) made me excited to have a PC...

But, I can tell you for a fact that there aren't many games which interest anybody on the PS3... At least, so far. 🙂

pretty good video 🙂 (except for halo2 :|)

also, in the intro, instead of having the short "games for windows" in the middle, I would have put that at the end after "present", so it would go *publishers* & *AMD, intel, etc.* present GAMES FOR WINDOWS.
 
wow that song is so overused. ive heard it in like 3 quake frag videos. hell even lil jon uses the same tune in Throw It Up. apart from that and the long, boring intro, it was ok. games that should be in there are alan wake, hellgate:london, bioshock, clive barker's jericho, and shadowrun. if u had that, kept the sound from the actual videos (ie. gunfire, explosions..) with the music on top, a quicker intro, then it would be rly great. 🙂

Go through the game developers quicker. Also use more PC exclusives. It seems to be predominantly shooters; one of the benefits of PC gaming is the greater variety of games available.

I'm going to be picky...

If you're showcasing the PC titles, then well... you should be showing more ingame footage and less CGI. In some cases you even used CGI and trailers for games that are also on the 360 (CoD4, GRAW2).

There are too many company names at the beginning... it takes forever to get to the 'goods'. The titles after the logos were terrible.... flew in and left too quick, tough to read.

Halo 2 shouldnt be in there, even if it's on windows now because heck even if it received a bump in graphics, its still based on 3 year old tech.

Some of the ingame footage you did show seemed to be too quick (fast cuts) and not display much at all.

Crysis is the only one that is really impressive (and you're going to need an extremely expensive PC to run it as you see in the video)

 
As someone who has done some gaming video editing, I think it looks good, especially for a 1st attempt. 😀

PC gaming died for me because FPS stopped being exclusives. There are other exclusive genres out there for PC, but FPS was the one I cared about.

the beginning with the logos is like half the video...cut that down or speed it up or something. You showed like 50 developer and publisher logos but only showed like 5 games.
