Just buy a pci express wireless card like this. You are suggesting spending almost $100 more for wifi?!? That motherboard costs $170+.

With the combo we linked (here), you are getting a $140 motherboard for ~$85. Add $27 for the pcie wifi card and you are still saving yourself like $65.

**EDIT**
Plus the Wi-Fi GO! onboard cards are not very good compared a quality 3rd party card...your signal may be garbage depending on the location of your wireless router/ap.

No, he's saying that you're trying to justify a $100 more expenisve motherboard by saying it includes WiFi when you can get a WiFi card for $20-25 in the USA.

Okay. Answer these questions before we go on any further please. Just copy/paste it into your message and answer the question on the next line.

I'm surprised it took 2 pages...

1. What YOUR PC will be used for. That means what types of tasks you'll be performing.
- Just for gaming. (the upcoming games, as , Battlefield 4 , Gta V , etc ...) with maxed out settings.

2. What YOUR budget is. A price range is acceptable as long as it's not more than a 20% spread
- 1.400€ ($1,829.21) to 1.575€ ($2,051.35)

3. What country YOU will be buying YOUR parts from.
- Portugal.

4. IF you're buying parts OUTSIDE the US, please post a link to the vendor you'll be buying from.
We can't be expected to scour the internet on your behalf, chasing down deals in your specific country... Again, help us, help YOU.

5. IF YOU have a brand preference. That means, are you an Intel-Fanboy, AMD-Fanboy, ATI-Fanboy, nVidia-Fanboy, Seagate-Fanboy, WD-Fanboy, etc.
- I really like Intel and Nvidia.

6. If YOU intend on using any of YOUR current parts, and if so, what those parts are.
- No , it's a new pc.

7. IF YOU plan on overclocking or run the system at default speeds.
- Overclock.

8. What resolution, not monitor size, will you be using?
- 1920x1080

9. WHEN do you plan to build it?
Note that it is usually not cost or time effective to choose your build more than a month before you actually plan to be using it.
- 2/3 weeks.

X. Do you need to purchase any software to go with the system, such as Windows or Blu Ray playback software?
- Just a DVD Drive , nothing else.

So here's the motherboard asus p8z77-v lk and the pci express wifi card. Total - 155,90€. Compare that to the p8z77-v at 172,35€.

**EDIT**
All of the asus boards in the p8z77-v line will overclock well. If you want to buy a more expensive board such as the p8z77-v, by all means do so (I wouldn't go any more expensive than the asus p8z77-v PRO 197,30€) just keep in mind that other than features like more fan headers, usb 2.0 ports, onboard WiFi, or more pci express 3.0/2.0 slots, they are all pretty much the same.

That money spent would be better served on a better power supply/larger ssd etc.

Well if you aren't near your wireless ap, or there are many obstructions to your wifi signal, don't be surprised if your connection is poor. As I stated before the wifi go adapters do not have strong internal antennas. I personally have a p8z77-v pro and I did not even install the wifi go adapter. I use an asus pce-n15 pci express wireless adapter.

Here's a great build which can have the RAM, CPU, and GPU overclocked. There's a solid cooler for the CPU, and the GPU is voltage unlocked (with a custom cooler!) for the highest overclocks. The RAM is already pretty solid (and speeds don't really matter on an Intel CPU), but can be overclocked as well:

CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor (£173.17 @ Amazon UK)
CPU Cooler: Scythe SCKTN-4000 55.5 CFM CPU Cooler (£22.38 @ Amazon UK)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z77-D3H ATX LGA1155 Motherboard (£83.39 @ Amazon UK)
Memory: Crucial 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1333 Memory (£32.99 @ Amazon UK)
Graphics Card: VTX3D AMD Radeon HD 7970 X-Edition (£352.31 @ Amazon UK)
Storage: Sandisk Ultra Plus 256GB 2.5" Solid State Disk (£125.00 @ Amazon UK)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (£68.01 @ Amazon UK)
Case: Fractal Design Define R4 (Black Pearl) ATX Mid Tower Case (£79.97 @ Amazon UK)
Power Supply: Corsair CX 600W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V Power Supply (£56.99 @ Amazon UK)
Optical Drive: Lite-On iHAS124-04 DVD/CD Writer (£11.13 @ Amazon UK)
Total: £1005.34
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

This leaves you well under your budget so you have room to upgrade to say a more efficient power supply or a motherboard with onboard wifi haha. But in all seriousness that is a fine build and will slay dragons pretty hard.

**EDIT**
Don't forget an operating system.

Actually, a fair portion of that would probably go to shipping and converting from Euros to British Pounds. He'll also need WiFi, evidently; b/g/n WiFi card goes for around £11. I actually suggest using Ethernet over WiFi for multiplayer gaming, by the way. Much less latency.

Anyway, I'd suggest upgrading peripherals before the motherboard. The motherboard barely matters compared to a nice IPS screen or a good gaming mouse/keyboard.

Google currently says that 1 british pound is 1.17 euros, so not much more expensive. £1005.34 would be 1176.86€.

If you haven't already bought the WiFi card then this can also be a nice alternative, depending on your budget of course !

The VTX3D AMD Radeon HD 7970 X-Edition that I have now linked to (whoops) should ultimately produce better results than an 7970 GHz because it has a unlocked voltage, which means you can overclock it to perform better. On the other hand, it is pretty expensive (though cheaper than 7970 GHz Editions, in general).

Really, if you're unwilling to overclock, a plain 7970 is good enough for pretty much every case.
