I had to reboot and upon restarting windows started detecting every piece of hardware I had installed as if they weren't there before, I have no idea why. I uninstalled SP2, and reinstalled it.

Anyway, everything was fine, except for the IDE channels. Now everytime I boot windows, those are re-detected, but they show up with the little yellow error bubble in the device manager. Everytime I restart, the CD-ROM drive and my burner come up as "new hardware", but also with the error bubbles in the IDE drop-down menu.

What do I do? I mean, it doesn't seem like a serious problem, the drives work fine still, but it's annoying as hell to have it find them again and again. And it's just irritating to have those yellow bubbles.

EDIT: Basically, the "DVD/CD-ROM drives" menu in device manager looks perfectly fine, it lists the two drives without any errors. But in "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers", there are three instances of "IDE channel" all with the error bubble next to them. I don't know why there are three, but I believe it's something to do with Alcohol 120%'s virtual drive. Ah man, what luck, my pc screws up while installing bug fixes.
