PC FPS vs CONSOLE FPS ? (Frames Per Second)

When gaming on the pc, the higher your resolution is, the less fps you would get, why is it that on console, if ur playing on a 50" tv high resolution, the gameplay is always smooth and looks soo nice with the graphics?

console games typically run at lower resolutions. most games run at 720p which is 1280x720 which would look pretty crappy on any 20"+ PC monitors. consoles are also easier to optimize for.

The resolutions on TVs does not change, the highest they can go is 1080p, something a moderately powerful PC can run easily as well. Games for consoles are also highly optimized for that console's hardware. PC versions also usually have more visual settings and customizations that can be enabled or disabled, affecting the quality of what you see. With the freedom of hardware available in a PC, that kind of optimization is not possible.

Yeah, it's kinda odd how 1280x720 can look great on a 50" set, but practically unbearable on a 22" monitor.

it's because of the size of a pixel on a TV vs a LCD Monitor.
