pc expo, exhibits start tomorrow...

no, outside is better. inside is a mess.

sony's exhibit was huge... lots of digital cameras (still and video)

i can't find my glasses. have an appointment at 1:30 =(

i will be wearing a white dress shirt unbuttoned with a light blue t, and khakis. and old worn sneakers and carrying a black single strap bag that says "crypto"

i will have my sony cybershot 505v on hand
 
I was there from 3:45pm till 5:00pm. I didn't get too much stuff...the massager from Attachmate, a few mousepads, that's it. What did you get? (so I'll know what to look for if I go back Wed or Thurs)
 
wish I could go. don't have a pass, don't know what time it is, don't know where it is, and have some stuff to do tomorrow (not the entire afternoon, though).
 
Man I really must be getting jaded. I remember when I use to be a big kick out of new technology. These days it seems like the same old same old. I envy those who still get excited over stuff like that.

There wasn't really too much new technology there. Just a bunch of companies that aren't doing too well and really really want you to buy their stuff right now! So basically if you go, you're going for the freebies....Which are terrible this year (compared to previous years, so I hear)...So it's not really worth it.
 
a short list of stuff at the expo (at least on the first day):

easy stuff:
omnisky --> white tee w/ short presentation on the compaq ipaq's
veritas --> fan w/ swipe
transmeta --> fan w/ short presentation
compaq --> eight-ball keychain w/ swipe
microsoft mobile experience --> white tee w/ looooooong presentation (1 hour!)

random stuff:
connectix --> rubik's cube thrown to 3 people for correct end-of-presentation q&amp;a
palm --> white tee thrown to 3 people w/ questions about the new m500/m505
attachmate --> white tee thrown to 3 people for correct q&amp;a
sceptre --> stuft animal thrown to 3 people for correct q&amp;a

notably absent this year:
intel --> last year, intel bunny man; this year, just an open space

i don't go for the free stuff. it's just junk for the most part.

anyway, it sucked this year more than last year. sure there were cool stuff, but much of the displays were OLD news...
