Ok so this is what happened.

I went for a road trip from California to Ohio last week. Actually I moved from the first state to the latter. It's winter season as you guys know. So, a couple of days ago when I got my apartment and settled in, the CPU didn't come on when I switched it. So, I thought the PSU must have gone kaput because of static. I then bought a new PSU yesterday, installed it and it ran! but it didn't go past the HDD detection screen. It dies everytime it goes to HDD detection screen. So, I was wondering if it's something wrong with the motherboard. It's a little hard to detect where the problem. What I usually do when my computer dies is go to Fry's and 'borrow' what I think is broken and whatever I don't need I return it later. It's a little difficult to do that now is as no stores in Midwest is going to like accept returns without charging extra. ;)

Anyway, does anyone has any idea what might have happened to my computer? I'm afraid of static might have spoilt everything. As usual, I start just with video card, but it just dies even with just the video card installed. Here are the specs btw, they are about 2 yrs old:

MSI KT4 Ultra-FISR MS-6590
Athlon XP 2500+ 1.83Ghz 333Mhz FSB
Radeon 9700SE 128MB
512MB Kingston DDR333 RAM

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
