PC doesn't boot automatically

Okay. My PC specs are:

Windows 7 (32-bit),i3 540, MSI H55M-E21 motherboard, Zotac GeForce 8400 GS, 4GB DDR3 RAM, 500GB Seagate Hard disk and the BIOS is American megatrends v17.4.

Now the thing is, when I start the computer, it hangs at the boot screen and won't go any further, but if I force it into the boot setup (F11), it'll will then (mostly) show me two options: my hard disk and "2.2 TB infinity". Once I select my hard disk everything proceeds as normal.
I looked at the boot order in the bios and it shows my hard drive in the first slot and I'm not sure why it doesn't just boot, anybody have a suggestion?

Load your Windows 7 installation disk and reboot. Boot to the installation DVD and when you get to the Windows Install screen, look in the lower left-hand corner and click Repair. Windows will automatically try to repair the boot problem.

From your description of being able to force it to boot into Windows by selecting the OS drive, your boot loader is fubar. If Windows doesn't repair it the first go-round, run the repair a second or even third time

Can you disable any other drives from the boot priority list? Also you could try a CMOS reset in case your bios got a bit confused. Remove the battery from the mobo whilst disconnected from the wall socket and hold the power and reset case buttons for 30 seconds.
