PC Crashes & Time Keeps Changing?

My PC on start up makes a whistle sound and crashes, then after I pug out the lead to the PSU and plug it back in again it works, but now when I manage to get to my desktop the time is from the pervious time I shut down ? Im taking this as to do with the CMOS battery ?


Any help will be appreciated
 
to test the cmos, just go to walmart buy the battery, pop it in, if it works you fixed it if not its something else. Many problems can come from your psu, ram, etc...So if the new battery didnt fix it try running memtest on your ram, if nothign there, then check all your conections to the psu and maybe try another one.
