PC component recommendations

This isn't a system for me, but for some kid I know who knows very little about PC's in general, really. I don't mind doing tech support.. gives me something to do with my spare time. 😉 All he does is play Starcraft and "hack" as he likes to tell people.

You know, l33t stuff like finding IP's over AIM and bragging about it(?). Anyways, he wants a decent system and doesn't wanna have to upgrade for a while. He's breaking into the Pentagon using a 166mhz Dell right now.

I'm thinking this would be a little nicer:
MSI's nForce board
256mb PC2100 DDR
20.0gb 7200RPM Maxtor HD
Lite-On 24x10x40 burner
Athlon XP 1700+ - retail heatsink/fan
Enlight 7237 case w/ enermax speed controlled fans
Some sort of PCI 56k modem

He already has a monitor, keyboard, mouse. This should last quite a long time for his uses. Is this a solid combo? I don't wanna have to be fixing too much. I'm going to give him Windows XP as well, since it's kinda tough to really mess it up, and then there's always system restore.

Sound like a good plan?

Looks good, but go with a 40gb HD. No reason to really go lower than that with a new comp and it will last him a long time as well.

Well, I offered a bigger one to him, and he told me all he wanted and needed was 20gb, and, like...insisted on it. Doesn't make a ton of sense to me, but, hey, the customer is always right.
