PC CASES OF THE YEAR NOMINATIONS!!!

I would like to open this topic to discuss the Mid-Tower cases of the year nominations for 2000. This has been the best year for PC cases, specially color ones so far. There are a lot of great Mid-tower Cases that came out this year. So We should nominate cases. I will put my nominations later.

Please go ahead to post all kind of PC cases that you know.

Best cases for the masses? The Antec SX830 and SX1030(b) cases. Great value, solid construction...

I love my Lian-Li PC60. It's a huge convenience and timesaver over my old case. Looks a heck of a lot better and weighs a whole lot less. It can be had from mwave for $165 now. Doesn't include a power supply though.

I just wish that I had enough money that I could buy a Chenbro Genie, Lian-Li PC60, CoolerMaster ATC-200, Supermicro 750 & 760, Lite-On FS020, Clear View Tech plexi case, and an InWin Q500 just so I could try them all and actually be able to say beyond a shadow of a doubt "yes I have the perfect case for my needs". But of course I have this condition where I can't have spare parts sitting around so I would end up buying parts to build computers in all of the damn things and then I would be even more broke than I am now and.............now that I think about it I will just assume that my SX1030 is the best case ever made and go to bed. Forgive this brief period of insanity.

how do you guys decide on it? What are you comparing it to? For me I've always stay with Elan Vital and never have any problems with it.

The Antec Performance Series sx830 / 1030 is with out a doubt the case of the year. No case triggered more posts, or was more sought after this year. For the money you can't beat it. You do not see very many complaints about these cases, almost universal positive press. 2000 was Antecs year, we'll have to see what 2001 brings..

Got to be one of them fine Antec cases. I just exchanged a good old one AOpen HX-08 for a Antec SX1030 today and I must say it's amazing ! I used to have a case temperature of about 38C (MSI K7T Pro 2a and a CPU temperature of 48C (Ahtlon 1GHz) and now I get 25C/38C, using only the 2 Antec included fan...

And the best part is that here in Quebec, the SX1030 is only about 10,00$ more than the SX830, so I went for the big one...

Anyways, it's great case !
