So far I'm going to stick to my build, I don't like that H61 MB either. Big reasons are no SATA 6 gb/s and it doesn't look like it has any chassis fan connections.

I like nVidia and the case I found has a top vent.

Any thoughts on the hybrid drive or if 500W should be enough?

Call me crazy... but to my knowledge chassis fans don't connect to your motherboard.

They can, especially if they're fans that didn't come with the case.

Some MoBos even have PWM headers for chasis fans.
Well for fans that you want to control I guess so. But if its just a fan you want with no control, you get a chassis fan that plugs directly into your power supply and powers on at start.

I waited 3 weeks for newegg to replace my DOA 270 before I asked for a refund.

I didn't know if I broke my board or my fan so I sent both in the same box. 2 weeks later my CPU was sent to me (in transit) but they still haven't processed my board even thought it's been sitting at Newegg for 3 days...grr

Good ones do. You can certainly connect them directly to the PSU and have them run at full speed all the time, but for lowest noise you'll want to get 3-pin fans and let the motherboard speed-control them.
