PC 6400 or 8500

Sorry I have been out of the loop for a very long time. I have a donated build that I need to finish. The processor is a E8400 Wolfdale running on a Gigabyte board with P43 chipset that supports 1066. Since 6400 ram is still relativity cheap compared to 8500. How much of a performance loss am I going to see running 6400 over 8500 with the E8400.

DDR2-800 CAS4 can be had for the same price as DDR2-1066 CAS5. You may be able to push the 800 modules up and keep them at CAS4.

Thanks, I was hoping to pick up a couple of Crucial 6400 4 gig kits today but Frys decided to claim that they are out of stock when they had plenty in stock. I noticed that DDR2 ram prices have doubled in the last three day over at Newegg.
