Paypal verification question

Went to verify my paypal account just now and got a kind of an error. it said:

You have added a bank account. Accounts with the routing number you specified can be used to withdraw funds but cannot be used to add funds into your PayPal account and cannot be used towards Verification. Please enter an account from a different bank if you would like to become a Verified user.

Now this is a Checking account through Compubank, I can fully access this account online, make payments, cut checks, send fed wire transfers. I sent an email to paypal asking for an explaination, but I thought I'd ask here to see if anybody had any ideas. What gives?

Hi,

Certain banks are not compatible with verification in our system and I would recommend trying a different bank if possible.

Those banks probably don't want to deal with all the fraud paypal causes.

i never got my $5. doesn't using your CC to pay someone through paypal constitute "having a balance" at least for a short time?

Fraud rates through our service are extremely low (below the industry average) because of the verification that we do ask for for withdrawing money out and the limits that are in place because of the identification requests. I can explain the reasons for certain withdrawal policies if it would assist.

Thanks for the reply. Can anybody reccomend a bank with online capabilities and compatable with paypal. What a hassle, now I'll be transfering funds to this other bank only to transfer it paypal. !ARGH!
