I am currently trying to get my paypal account verified. Last Thursday, I added my checking account to get verified and today i just recieved an email saying that my account was invalid. So I immediately called Bank of America and the CSR told me that you could try a different routing number. She gave me a Wire Transfer Routing Number. She said that paypal may request that one instead. Now, I was wondering if anybody had the same problem when they first got their banking account verified. I know paypal says to use the routing number on the check. But maybe I typed it in wrong the first time. I want to make sure before waiting another 2 - 3 days for it to tell me that my banking account is invalid again. Also if this helps, I live in California and BOA has 3 routing numbers for CA.
I emailed paypal already, but I figured Anandtech members could answer my question quicker.
To summarize:
1. Which routing number do you use: The ABA routing number? (the one on the check) The ACH routing number? (the one for direct deposits, which i doubt). or The Wire Transfer Routing number? (The one for wire transfers).
2. I use Bank of America in California.
