When you send someone money through paypal, they receive it immediately, right? None of this 3-4 business day processing time for bank withdrawal?

My account is 15 cents short of a sound card purchase :(:(

EDIT: Done! Thanks, jpeyton!

tell the guy to cut you a 15 cent break.

3-4 day is if your account is not verified and is transferred from your bank.

if you're verified, the transfer from bank is considered instant.

Could you possibly be hoping that 100+ random people will take pity on you and PayPal you the money, netting you a quick $15?

I think you're the that guy from Nigeria that keeps sending me those emails. I vote for a permaban! :|

Verified account, but the wait is still there.

And I'm buying from ZipZoomFly, so your first suggestion is out :(

In any case, I already have a $10 withdrawal pending, but my computer can't do anything with MIDIs and it really pains me. I'll return the money when I get the bank money.

No! Don't be his first victim! He won't take PayPal; he'll ask you for your checking account's routing and account numbers!

I see where he's going : 100 * $.15 = $15

But no, that's not what I want. I already feel bad semi-begging for money :(

Because I have a crazy conscience, I feel obliged to pay back whoever lends me money.

Chaintech AV710. It was $25.99 shipped on ZZF; I had 25.84 in my PayPal. Not the best for gaming, but pretty darn good for music, and a heckuva lot better than my stupid integrated sound.

AV710 has long been regarded as the best budget sound card for the money; good choice. Same one I have in my rig. Good review here for music lovers. Essentially the same sound quality as the M-Audio Revolution which costs 4X the price.

Oops, I miswrote the amount I had in my paypal account.

Anyway, I decided to go with the AV710 because it was cheap and awesome. It's hard for me to justify spending any more money on my proposed audio setup than I need to (current plans are somewhere around $1100, with options up to $2k), and I'll be getting an external DAC eventually anyway, so the chaintech was a good choice. My integrated sound is half-fried, my new system won't be available until at least March 06, my portable rig is dying, and I want better sound!
