Bump... For the most important post I have seen in a long time. I got this E-mail, & saved it to check out later. I sure am glad I didn't jump on it right away, but whenever people want to give money away, I am always leery.

Thanks again for the heads up!😀

if the "anandtech effect" can bring legitimate sites to their knees with traffic, the least we can do is bring this one down too 😉

Let's try to se if we can take this sucker down with this link

Is it down now? I get this when I try to go to their site:

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /cgi-bin/webscr.pl on this server.
Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Hrm good job guys, I think I got that email too! I don't remember though :/

All they wanted you to do was follow the link and login? I never click on links from email, I manually type the address in so I know which URL I am going to. Just a thought

Good job guys...now let's go after the BIGGEST scam - PayPal.com :Q

I must say that email is much more convincing than all of the previous PayPal-wannabe scams - I might even have thought it was real if I had received it, BUT...one thing I NEVER do is click a link from PayPal, c2it or similar sites...I always go to the site by manually typing in PayPal's URL - no way to be scammed by one of these con artists if you just do that one simple thing.

I think their hosting provider has used the axe on them! Hope I helped a bunch of people avoid these scam artists. I mean.. man.. it is the holidays.... the criminal(s) deserve coal and a pair of handcuffs in their stocking this year.

Hi,

Thank you for posting this warning. The fraud team has already had the site shut down.

As always, please use extreme caution when receiving an unsolicited email asking for account information.
