So I'm selling an xbox360 on eBay and I get this question from a "buyer" this morning:

Hello,
Good morning to you,how is business and all other things?,hope all are in good condition. well I'm Dorim from CANADA, but Presently i'm leading a trade fair program in Austrialia. I saw your item (8237420186) and i'll like to buy it for my son that study in a Computer science school in University of Nigeria Next week as a gift.Do not worry about the shipping of the item, i have an account with FEDEX and i'll be sending you my FEDEX account number for the shipping and if you decedided in sending the item to hard the shipping cost on the product you can still do it . Moreover i would have prefer to send you a cheque but simply because i want you to ship the item first thing tomorrow morning, i will be sending you payment via PAYPAL and so make sure you get the package ready for tomorrow shipment ok? And kindly send me your paypal address and your physicalcontact,so i can make the payment right away.
Regards.
Dorim.

From seeing about 8 trillion other scammer threads this one seems to be the same except they aren't going to pay me via Paypal. How will that work? How should I procede with thise, tell him to Fvck off or string him along to see what happens?

scam. You will either get a forged email from paypal or they will use a hacked account, either way you wont get paid. Ive set up my ebay auctions to block buyers from outside the US, that stops most of the spam.

Good call didn't think of that, sad part is, as soon as I read the first line I had a feeling it was a scam. Not to mention his username was "homoson22" with 0 feedback and a new account.

So my reply to him was simply "My paypal address is listed in the auction" so he replies back with this:

Hello,
I will be sending you the payment via PayPal .So make sure you get the package ready for shipment and kindly send me your paypal email address so that i can make out the payment to u immediately & so you can get the item ready for shipment as soon as you recieve the paypal confirmation.Expecting your reply so as to immediately make out the payment. So mail me now because its urgent.

So I wrote back "I told you the address was in the auction, are you too stupid to read?"

I'm curious to see where this goes.
Thanks Dorim

<---- not held responsible...
wait for his phony email of the paypal payment, thank him for fast payment and tell him u will be shipping using next day service,
tell him its going to be a yellow box, and its going to say "ASS" in bold letters in the bottom part.

I love these "are these scams" threads.

If someone from NIGERIA wants to do business with you, tell them to eat a c0c|<

Just save yourself some hassle and deal in the US only. There are plenty of idiots willing to pay $800 for your X360 here in the US alone, no need to risk it for some person overseas. :D

i don't see the word terrorist in this thread anywhere before your post.

anyway, i 've sold stuff on ebay and got the same type of emails. its a scam.
if they won't go through ebay to buy and just want to send the money to paypal directly, its a scam.

".... I'm from Canada but I'm living in Australia and my son is in Nigeria..."

High comedy at its finest. Did he also ask,"Who's on 1st?"
