i dont sell many things, just stuff i dont want to waste. ive only sold two electronic things in the past on head-fi and a few prints of my photography.

on each transaction i informed the buyer that i would sell once the payment made it to my bank. they were all very happy with the service but i wonder,

is that necessary? it takes 3-4 days for this to happen, for the money to get from paypal to my bank, but i just want to know if there is anyway after i receive payment and tell it to transfer to my bank that the funds can be taken back or not, or whether or not it is as good as being paid already?

this way i can ship the two small things i sold now faster and get it to the buyers quicker.
 
from what i heard once you take the money u had in paypal and transfer it to ur bank account they cant touch.
 
If they paid with an echeck and you're waiting for that to clear, then that's fine. If they paid with paypal funds or a credit card I think you should ship it out as soon as you receive payment. Of course if they are fine with it, then great. I know if I were the buyer I wouldn't want to wait 3-4 days for your bank to clear, and then another 3-4 days to ship when I paid you already.

This has never happened to me, but I've heard that if the buyer disputes and wins paypal will withdraw the funds from your bank account. Which is why you should remove those funds into another checking account asap before paypal gets a chance to get it.

Doesn't make even if your bank account has $0 in it money can still be overdrawn out of it.
 
cool. ill just ship right away with delivery confirmation of course, instead of waiting for the transfer from paypal to my bank.
