why does it say negative 1.79?
 
It says Nov. 7, 2006 Refund Completed Details $1.79 USD followed by Nov. 7, 2006 Temporary Hold Placed ... -$1.79 USD.

that were returned to your account because you used Instant Transfer to

I do not get it. Why does anything need to arrive from my bank account. Shouldnt it be arriving to my bank account?

Unless it means that the funds are in process of going to my bank account and then the bank sends it to paypal so I can decide what to do with the money via paypal?
