Paypal Problems - HELP!

I withdrew money on April 19 to my account. It is still not here.

I have been in contact with Paypal since June trying to get them to resolve it with no luck. I have sent in whatever they asked for - sometimes they "didn't receive it", other times they just didn't reply to let me know.

Does anyone here know of a way to get them to get off their asses and do this for me? I just want my $500. I have another $600 I want to withdraw, but I don't want it to get lost like this last bit.

<It's an international transfer to a Canadian bank>

I did already once. He said he would get someone to contact me. I wish he could just take care of this for me - he seems to care about these things. Every person I talk to over the phone could care less.

And someone did - telling me to "call my bank".

I called them, and they told me that if the money isn't in my account, then Paypal still has it. Yet Paypal said if the money is marked "successful" that they don't have it.

This doesn't make sense at all.

Hi TrevorK,

The information was sent off to our trace teams when you had contacted me. Are you stating customer service never contacted you about the matter? We definitely don't have the funds if it is completed, which is why they are advising you to contact your bank.

I can only direct cases where they need to go.

Your bank should have a way of tracking the funds. All electronic transfers go through one of the main wire transfer type places such as ACH. One way or another there's a record of where the funds went. Just gotta find it. I'd call your bank again and speak to someone up as high as you can get on the technical end to trace it for you.

You've always been helpful Damon - you got my last case solved. I'm not blaming you. All of the other customer service has been VERY bad in contacting me.

Once I was told to fax my stuff in using the cover letter, so I email back for it, the next person tells me there is no such cover letter.

Right now I am awaiting a call from a Manager @ Paypal to go over this, but I'm not holding my breathe that he's going to call me.

The bank said they didn't have the funds either - I don't understand, because someone has the funds or knows where they are.

What am I supposed to tell my bank? All I know of is the amount that was supposed to be transferred for me, and that it wasn't deposited (Which they tell me means they don't have the $$). How is the bank supposed to trace it based on that - they get thousands of transfers a day.

Whereas Paypal I assume has the paperwork for all of this in my file. Which I assume they should be able to pull out and look, and talk to the people with appropriate transaction ID's....

Worst part is - I can't even get any $$ sent to me via cheque, the ONLY way I can get it out is like this.

Bump.

I still haven't received a call from a "manager" about this - and no word from Paypal.

Holy crap that is just bad. How can they just lose $500.00. I don't understand why they're telling you to talk to your bank when your bank is telling you that they never saw the funds. It'd make sense if the funds did come in and then disappeared but if they never arrived, it's still Paypal's responsibility.
Let us know how this ends up because I'm seriously considering closing my paypal account. Too many horror stories and no accountability on Paypal's part.

It should be Paypal's responsibility to prove where the money went.. Its THEIR responsibility to show proof.. DEMAND IT.. Tell them you want the ACH routing numbers they used to transfer it.. everything is traceable.. If they say they sent it, they need to provide YOU with the information you can take to your bank.

Hi TrevorK,

The transfer was completed by PayPal. However, since you are stating it didn't get there, we have to work the issue with the ach processor and possibly your bank.

I have just sent another follow-up to see if we had the results back from the trace. I am also checking to make sure that we received the requested documentation from you to help expedite the trace.

Hi Trevork,

I sent you an email about customer service working on it. I also advised what the time line is for a trace.
