Ok this guy bought my xbox of me and paypaled me the money. He paid extra for next day shipping. I mailed the package out and several hours later I get an email saying that the guy used a stolen credit card. I already took the money out so my account is in the negative. I cant stop the delivery I already asked. My paypal account is now in the negative, Any advice or ideas?

ouch man. i dunno if there is anything u can do. did u ship to the verified mailing address? if not...uh... i would say try to beat the package to the delivery point :p or actually... if it was stolen, i would try to notify the proper authorities as to the address where ur package is being shipped. maybe it can be intercepted.

Can you have whatever carrier you sent it with hold the package? USP/Fedex will usually hold packages, I don't know about USPS.

Definitely notify the authorities...as soon as you got the email you should've called your carrier...and told them to hold the package because the money was from a stolen CC and he should not receive it.

Did he send you the email saying he used a stolen CC or was it someone else? If you still have the email, type control f3 to get the IP of the sender, then paste it here and we can see who it's registered to. If we can find the ISP, the authorities will be most willing to help catch a CC thief and the ISP should comply with a working address. This is all theory of course, but it looks like you are out of options?

Hi redls1,

Did you ship to the confirmed address? This is a requirement of the Seller Protection Policy.

As an FYI, overnight shipping is a very solid indicator that someone could be engaging in credit card fraud. I would highly recommend shipping to the confirmed address in these cases.

The only real option is to try and get the carrier to stop delivery. I would also recommend contacting local authorities if possible.

I would be interested in looking at the transaction...please pm me at damon@paypal.com with the email address of the party that paid. It won't change the circumstances surrounding the reversal, but I would like to alert our fraud team.
