refund the money and pay for all shipping. oh and stop trying to scam people on ebay.

Dude, totally uncalled for. If Garet was scamming anyone do you think he'd have bothered posting this thread? Jeebus...

Totally called for. This is akin to selling a new xbox box, and just sending the box. The pictures taken of the bottom of the laptop are taken to not show the missing battery. The seller did everything he could to not disclose the lack of a battery. The auction states windows installed, bios updated, etc giving the impression that the laptop is actually in a running state. They don't run without batteries, and it seems obvious to me that he intended to decieve.

Waggy and Turin you guys have no instinct for human nature. If I intended to deceive than why would I post about it here and then admit fault?

I I was trully trying to decieve then I would have told him to go stuff it and you guys would never have heard about it.

You two guys are being way too harsh - but that's OK everyone makes mistakes - only some of us are confident enough to admit to them.

I made a simple mistake, admitted to it and am trying to rectify it.

you have pictures of the machine running. you say its in great condition.

yet you don't send the battery? WTF? really thats insane.

while scamm may be hard it sure seems what it is. you may not have set out to do it but again that is what happened.

you had a auction for a complete working laptop. but that is NOT what you sent.

Waggy, don't do that, I know for a fact you're not as stupid as you sound in this (and other) posts.

Yes, not mentioning "NO BATTERY" was wrong, and he shouldn't have listed as "perfect, immaculate" and whatever other adjectives he used, but he did NOT send a "non working" laptop. Every laptop I have ever seen works fine without the battery, just plug the fvcker in.

Just to reiterate, yes he is in the wrong and needs to refund the buyer. But he did not sell a non-working laptop.

true you can plug it in. but when buying a laptop should a person really have to plug it in everywhere just to use it?

I do think while he did not set out to scam the buyer that is what he did. the auction is set up so someone thinks they are getting a fully working laptop. one they can take anywhere and use. Now they have to ship it back ( good to see the op refunding money and hopefully shipping), buy a battery or get a diffrent laptop. All of wich may cost the guy more money.
